Hair Tip For the Relaxed Chicas...

Relaxed Girls!!!!!!!! Something that you seriously should remember is that your hair has been processed and because of that it can so easily become damaged or dry, or damaged AND dry. You should live and die by moisture. Drying of already processed hair can so easily develop into a split end situation which is never cute. Not to mention incredibly dramatic when your stylist has to do more cutting than trimming ( you girls know what I mean!) Use moisture rich shampoo's AND conditioners. A hot oil treatment is a WONDERFUL thing! You can go old school with the PINK Hot Oil Treatment, or try jojoba oil which is ideal because its an oil that is very similar to the natural oil called sebum that our scalps produce. Coconut oil is also a very good choice as well, because it is absorbed by the hair and doesn't just coat it. Coconut oil is one of my favorites. Happy Moisturizing!!!!!!

My Curly Curls...

I don't know about anyone else, but a great friend of mine once told me that if you want to ask skincare advice, ask someone with beautiful skin....So Im going to post pics of my curls as I use my own products, for all to see, and to gain some credibility!!!!!

Hair Fix In A Pinch

Who hasn't had flyaways??!! Well if you stop to re-gloss your lips in the ladies room and realize those errant little hairs have freed themselves don't pout..unless its your cute face you're practicing!!! Grab your hand lotion and squeeze a bit, rub and apply to those flyaways!!!! The lotion will smooth them nicely back in place...so you can admire your faboo mug and keep it moving...

Curly Girls!!!!

Hey Curly Girls!!!!!!!!!
I haven't been on here in a while...life has been happening to me..lol....But anyhoo. I have endeavored to begin my own business!!!! I like to think I know a thing or two about hair, having gone through quite a journey of my own with my hair. I had relaxed hair for about 7 years and then I made a HUGE decision to chop off all the relaxed hair and grow out natural hair. I always strive to take great care of my hair...but having the type of hair that us brown girls have can be seriously labor intensive....when my curliness first was growing in, I experimented with a plethora of products trying to find THE ULTIMATE products. No such luck!!!!! There is one product that I would truly give blood for though, CANTU Shea Butter leave in conditioning repair cream...Ive sung its praises before, but I MUST emphasize it is a GREAT product for curly girls. But shampoo's and regular conditioners?? I was hard pressed to find something that didn't make my hair frizzy, dry, or tangled. Dryness, is definitely a curly girl's nightmare. It leads to tangles, frizz and a not cute nightmare. So I decided to try my hand a making my own conditioner and shampoo! My experiments are well under way and yielding wonderful results! I realized that we curly girls are victims of tangles and dryness. We need MOISTURE to be applied and locked in. We need natural oils and moisture drawing ingredients. And how do we know that those ingredients are in enough quantities in the products we use? We don't know!!!! So making the products myself seemed to be the most sensible thing to do! I'm in the trial stage...Ive been using my own product for 2 weeks now and have nicely hydrated, smooth curls. My trial stage is now extending to friends and family...we'll see if they like it!!!! Hopefully, I'll be rich and famous...lol
